Children with a wide range of conditions are eligible for assistance from Maximum Hope. Many have a complex medical diagnosis and are ineligible for assistance from other organizations. We are passionate about providing resources that are inclusive of ALL children diagnosed with a critical or life-limiting illness.
Over the past ten years, we have worked hard to built strong collaborative relationships with children’s hospitals. We also work closely with hospice and palliative care providers when a cure is not possible. Urgent requests are brought to us by medical social workers and are assessed on an individual basis. Aid is granted according to the needs and financial state of the family.
We work quickly to supply struggling families with practical necessities such as rent, utility payments, groceries, and hospital travel expenses. Due to the time-sensitive nature of many requests, we strive to provide aid within 24-48 hours. Whenever possible (and within limited means), we will also try to grant a child’s special wish to bring him or her a sense of joy and resolution. We strive to conduct personal visits with families and children as a hopeful reminder that they are not alone.
“The inspiration for Maximum Hope Foundation came following the birth of my second child when we befriended a family whose beautiful son was battling cancer. When he tragically lost his heroic fight at the age of eleven, our mission became clear. Named after my children, Max and Hope, we created a non-profit organization that offers practical aid to families with a child battling life-limiting illness. Please join me in supporting these families as they face the battle of their lives. Your gift will remind struggling children and parents that they are not alone, and that hope remains even in their darkest hour.”
