Staij has multiple life-limiting illnesses. Her mother is a nurse who works with seriously ill children in the hospital.

Right before her 10th birthday, Staij developed severe complications from her illnesses and was hospitalized. Her mom took time off from work to be by Staij’s side during her hospital stay.

After taking this time off from work, her family was struggling to pay their rent. Your generous gift helped to pay their rent and ensure that Staij would have a warm home to return to when she was released from the hospital.

With her mother by her side, Staij recovered enough, and was able to return home and celebrate her 10th birthday with her family!
