Zachary’s mom, Linda, has fought tirelessly for her son’s life ever since he was diagnosed with hypoplastic left heart syndrome; a heart defect that affects normal blood flow through the heart. Because of his condition, he has had four open-heart surgeries and countless procedures.

But this year has been particularly difficult. Due to complications from his heart defect, Zachary has been hospitalized four times so far this year.

As a result of Zachary’s extended hospital stays and the time his mom had taken off work to be by his side, his family was in danger of losing everything; they needed a lifeline.
